The story goes, that people of the early, mythical society of Lemuria placed these seed crystal points, programmed with their wisdom and a message of oneness, in places around the world. The horizontal striations make these Lemurian, I suppose the messages lie therein, and they act as a visual and tactile symbol of a ladder to a state of elevation. The first time I saw one of these I couldn’t believe it was real, or natural. I mean, just look at it. There is only one place on Earth where these perfect cuboid crystals sprout out of the ground, in caves and beneath streams — in Navajún, Spain. Pyrite grows all over the world, but not like this. Pyrite in all its mirrored, shiny glory has been revered and celebrated for its magical properties for thousands of years. These perfect shapes work in spiritual practice to remind you that anything, anything is possible. There is no riddle too unsolvable. You can make sense of tangled problems — seriously, just look at how orderly things can be.

Looks like wood, isn’t. I was inexplicably drawn to these, and the deal was sealed by the nicest Mexican purveyor with super mellow and connected vibes. Mahogany Obsidian is great for energetic protection and grounding, activating both sex and creative energy, vibrating with earth power and strength. So brown and stately, so super glossy. Executive realness in a sacred form that represents the integration of self and soul. A very handsome desk mate.
